Mother Nature’s healing and nurturing energy is all around us—in every leaf, every tree, every patch of moss. We can truly feel this energy when we slow down and engage with the sights, sounds, and scents of our natural world.
At Love Grows Here, we believe that gardens and landscapes offer us so much more than just beauty—they offer comfort, peace, and a profound sense of well-being. They are places where we can remember and feel our connection to Nature, not just as observers, but as participants in a living, breathing relationship.
This connection is the foundation of our work: Curating beautiful, enduring gardens that honor all living things and foster a deeper, more reciprocal relationship with the land—nurtured through care, collaboration, and education.
Our commitment to native plants is at the core of our work, but that doesn't mean we're going to dig up every non-native plant around your home. We assess the role of non-native and naturalized plants within a landscape and evaluate what is working, what these plants are or aren't offering, and what no longer supports a balanced, healthy, and functioning garden space. We approach any managed landscape with a mindset of rejuvenation and reclamation, and by incorporating native plants we curate spaces that are not only beautiful and resilient, but are truly beneficial to our local ecosystems and our lives.
Most importantly, We take the time to observe and listen—to the land, the plants, the rhythms of the seasons, and to you. Every space has its own story, its own unique needs, and every person has a vision. By tuning into both, we’re able to collaborate and co-create landscapes that feel rooted, intentional, and alive with meaning and ecological benefits!
Love Grows Here is guided by our deeply rooted love & respect for Mother Nature, and our passion for fostering deeper connection and relationship with the land. We joyfully offer fully customized, creative, and inspired gardening services that are rooted in knowledge, love, and over a decade of hands in the dirt experience. Our approach to all projects, big or small, is personal, collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to your unique spaces and visions. We are equally committed to the integrity and honesty of our client relationships as we are to our commitment to working in harmony and balance with the earth.
My love for nature began early in my life growing up in the Hudson Valley. That love and fascination grew even deeper when I discovered a life in the Teton Mountains of Wyoming.
My professional gardening journey began in 2013 and has taken me from the rugged Rockies back to the lush embrace of the Hudson Valley. I have been fortunate to work for and learn from highly knowledgeable and passionate horticulturists, gardeners, and landscape designers. These women were mentors and teachers, and empowered me to work towards starting my own business in 2022. Over the last 2 years I have gained immeasurable experience as a garden program educator for Autistic teens and adults. This experience has inspired me to expand on my consulting, coaching, and educational offerings. I consider myself an eternal student and I value lifelong learning and honing of my skills. I look forward to working with you and helping you grow a deeper relationship with Nature through the beauty & wonder of native plant life!
Meg is passionate, reliable and collaborative, making our garden exactly as we wanted with smart insights to keep it sustainable and within budget. She knew which plants would thrive in our space while keeping with the colorful, wild look (and low maintenance needs) we were going for. She keeps in close touch along the way to make sure you’re loving the garden and equipped to care for it throughout the year. Her knowledge of native plants and terrain is amazing. Couldn’t recommend her more!
I bought a house in 2021 that came with a big yard, and with what had once been beautiful gardens. I knew I didn't want to just replicate what had been there, but to incorporate native plants for practical (feeding pollinators, hardiness, etc) and aesthetic reasons. I found Meg through a community Facebook group and the rest is history. I now have a beloved fern forest garden, several stunning patio gardens, and a rejuvenated front area with native plants, shrubs, flowers and trees. Working with Meg to dream these up has been a joy, and seeing her come for planning, planting and maintenance always makes it a good day. She is incredible to work with and delivers on all her promises. She has deep knowledge of native plants and what works well in different environments. We have a couple more areas to tackle, and I look forward to working with Meg for many years to come!
