Our approach to garden care is intentional, gentle, and aligned with Nature’s timing. We follow the rhythms of the seasons and let the land guide us—listening closely to what the plants need and when they need it.
With a blend of deep ecological knowledge, experienced technical skills, and intuitive earth connection, we offer comprehensive, full-season maintenance plans that support vibrant, healthy gardens. Our goal is to encourage balance, biodiversity, and beauty—working in harmony with Nature, not against Her.
We offer our maintenance services in half-day or full-day sessions, available on a bi-monthly, monthly, or seasonal basis.
When we begin working together, we take the time to observe the land and listen to you—so we can create a maintenance plan that supports your goals while honoring the rhythms and needs of the landscape itself.
Our garden plans are fully tailored to suit the unique needs of your life, your landscapes and plants, and your budget. Whether you're looking for full-service maintenance or a more hands-on, collaborative approach through our garden coaching sessions that will empower you to confidently care for your gardens, we are here to meet you where you are. Our goal is set you and your gardens up for long term success.
Spring: The season of rebirth—of fresh energy, new growth, and deep listening.
This is the time to observe what’s emerging in the gardens and to reconnect with one another as we begin to plan for the season ahead.
As Mother Nature begins to awaken, we take this time to connect with our clients—sharing ideas, inspirations, priorities, and potential projects for the coming months. Together, we lay the foundation for a vibrant growing season. We offer Spring clean-up visits which helps get us acquainted or reacquainted with your gardens and allow us time to assess the needs of your garden spaces for the coming season. Spring maintenance visits may include pruning, invasive plant identification, weeding, planning garden edits, transplanting, adding compost or mulch.
Summer: The season of growth and abundance
Summer is a time of fullness—of blooming flowers, lush foliage, and the hum of life all around. It’s the heart of the growing season, when gardens reach their peak and call for our attentive care and presence.
During this time, we focus on thoughtful tending: deadheading and pruning for esthetics and for secondary blooming, hand-weeding, invasive plant management, and supporting the overall health of the gardens as they flourish. We observe what’s thriving, what might need extra support, and where small adjustments can help the landscape remain vibrant, balanced, and full of life.
Summer invites us to be in relationship with the land—to show up, to respond, and to celebrate the beauty and life within our gardens. At Love Grows Here we remain tuned in to the evolving needs of your gardens and landscapes.
Fall: The season of Transition and Preparation — A time of slowing down and letting go.
As the gardens prepare to rest, we support this transition with care and presence—cutting back what is necessary, preserving habitat where possible, and preparing the land for rest and renewal. And most importantly, we are leaving the leaves. We give esthetically pleasing care to your gardens while also prioritizing the health and well being of the land, the soil, and all the insects, bees, critters, and birds that are in need of habitat and food sources through the Fall and Winter months.
The Fall is also a time for planting new life —native perennials, bulbs, wildflower meadows, and trees and shrubs that can take root over Winter and return with strength in Spring. This is a wonderful time to reflect on the season’s lessons, to feel gratitude for the beauty and bounty of our gardens and begin to dream of next year’s possibilities.
Winter: The season of rest and reflection
The Winter call us to slow down, and to take time for quiet, restorative care, as the land does. At Love Grows Here, we embrace this time for rest, reflection, planning, and visioning. We use the winter months to deepen our knowledge, refine our practices, and connect with clients who are dreaming into the next growing season—whether that’s through new designs, planting plans, garden coaching, or continued care of your existing gardens.
For those who need us, we offer ongoing invasive plant management and winter pruning services—an often overlooked but incredibly beneficial practice, especially for native and non-native woody shrubs. Appropriate Winter pruning encourages plant rejuvenation, healthy plant structure, and new growth in the seasons ahead.
Plant, love, Grow, thrive.
